August 12, 2011

Seth T. Curtis

Seth T. Curtis, the 25-year-old Redkey man charged with six crimes in regard to a robbery attempt last Sunday at the CVS store in Berne, has been arraigned in Adams Circuit Court and was set for trial on December 2.
He is being held in the Adams County Jail under a $100,000 bond on the following charges:
    • Attempted robbery with a deadly weapon, since he was allegedly carrying a pellet pistol, which is classified as a deadly weapon, according to Adams County Prosecutor Chris Harvey.
    • Three counts of criminal confinement, reportedly because he ordered three people in the business to do what he said to do while allegedly brandishing the deadly weapon.
    • Possession of drug paraphernalia.
    • Unlawful possession of a syringe.
Curtis is being represented by attorney Jill Gonzales of Muncie.
He was captured after being shot in the right elbow in the store by an off-duty Adams County deputy sheriff and is recovering from that wound after a brief stay in a Fort Wayne hospital.
Curtis also faces unrelated charges in Jay County.
