High hits 84 in Decatur

    It sure was fun while it lasted.
    Decatur-area residents enjoyed a preview of what's ahead part of Saturday and all of Sunday as spring weather was sprung across the area. Walkers were everywhere, as were motorcycles and bicycles, and a few air conditioners were cranked up.
    A high of 84 degrees was recorded at the Decatur weather station Sunday, a day awash in sunshine.
    Conditions changed overnight, though, with rain moving into the area after 2 a.m. The National Weather Service said more showers and possibly a thunderstorm were possible up until around 2 p.m. today.
    Chances of rain drop off to 30 percent tonight, then no more rain is in the forecast until Thursday night.
    The city recorded just over a tenth of an inch of rain Friday through Sunday.
    Meanwhile, temperatures are returning to normal, with a high around 65 likely today and west winds at around 15 mph. Tonight's low will be around 39, forecasters said.
    Tuesday is expected to be mostly sunny, with a high near 58, then highs in the low to mid 60s are on tap for Wednesday and Thursday.
