High grass? Here's number to call

June 17, 2013

As the citywide cleanup effort continues in Decatur, it was pointed out at a recent city council meeting that anyone who wishes to complain about high grass, junk vehicles and the like in their neighborhood should call 724-3814 to lodge the complaint.
That is the City Hall number of the building and zoning department, from where an investigation would be launched.
Mayor John Schultz cautioned that getting something done to rectify a problem — cutting grass and weeds, for example — takes time. "We have a procedure that we have to follow and it does take some time," he said.
