Helen M. Morgan

    Helen M. Morgan, 102, went to meet the Heavenly Father on Wednesday, December 21, 2011, at Park Place Living in Fort Wayne, IN.
    Born in Gomer, Ohio, she moved to Fort Wayne in 1928 and worked for Indiana Bell. In 1950, she and her family moved to Hoagland to run the switchboard.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd.
    She enjoyed traveling with him during their 72 years of marriage. She especially treasured spending time with her large family, baking pies and cookies, sewing, crocheting afghans for the family and friends, and watching IU basketball.
    She was the daughter Andrew and Emma (Arthur) Powell.
    She is survived by daughters, Marilyn (Larry) Johnston and Sallie Elaine (Lee) Bosler; one son, John W. (Margo) Morgan; four grandsons, six granddaughters, one stepgranddaughter, 15 great grandsons, seven great granddaughters, one step-great grandson and two great-great grandsons.
    She was preceded in death by one grandson and seven brothers and sisters.
    Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 27, 2011, at Hope United Methodist Church.
    Visitation is 2-7 p.m. Monday, December 26, 2011 at Haggard-Sefton & Hirschy Funeral Home and one hour prior to services at the church. Pastor Stacy Downing will be officiating. Burial will be in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, New Haven.
    Memorials are to the church.
