HEBA All-Stars cop 2nd in Monmouth Clemente Tourney

The Hoosier East Baseball Alliance (HEBA) All-Stars finished second in the Monmouth eight and under tournament finished Thursday night by falling to Elmhurst 13-7 in the title game.

The HEBA stars had defeated New Haven 11-1 and avenged an earlier loss to Hoagland with a 16-4 triumph to reach the title contest.
Against Elmhurst, Isaiah Wellman went three-for-three at the plate while Gabe Roman and Ben Razo both knocked out two hits. Others hitting safely were Justin Bultemeier, Kobe Baker, Breck Rumschlag, Eli Hunt, Remington Bultemeier, and Devin Mayhew.
In the triumph over Hoagland, Razo had a huge night with a home run and triple among his three hits while Wellman also delivered with a home run, three hits and three RBIs. Remington Bultemeier knocked in four RBIs with a triple among his two hits, Justin Bultemeier doubled in a three-hit game and had two RBIs, and Isaac Ruble and Ethan Garner both singled twice. Baker, Austin Muldenay, Rumschlag, and Andre Bienz all had one hit.
Wellman, Ruble, and Justin Bultemeier all were perfect in the New Haven tilt with three hits. Wellman homered and doubled with two RBIs, Ruble drove in five RBIs with two triples, and Bultemeier doubled among his hits and had two RBIs. Baker homered and had three RBIs, Razo picked up a pair of hits, Muldenay went two-for-two, and Garner, Remington Bultemeier, and Eli Hunt all singled.
