Heat delays game times

September 2, 2011

All three school systems in Adams County have moved back kickoff times for tonight's games.

Acting on a recommendation from the Indiana High School Athletic Association, area schools are delaying the start of tonight's home football games.
Bellmont High School Athletic Director Dale Manis announced Thursday night that due to the intense heat forecast for this area today, the kickoff for tonight's Bellmont-Columbia City football game at Bob Worthman Stadium has been moved moved back to 7:30.
Adams Central Athletic Director Rick Minnich said this morning that the AC-Leo game set originally for 7 p.m. will now be played at 8 p.m. and gates for the game will open at 7:15 p.m.
Officials at South Adams High School also confirmed that the South Adams-Bluffton game at Bluffton High School was also moved to 8 p.m. That game had an original 7 p.m. kickoff time.
