Headaches first sign for Case

June 24, 2013

Like Tyson Bahrke, the other Honorarie for this year's Adams County Relay for Life held last weekend, Lisa Case's battle with cancer began less than a year ago.
At the end of August, Lisa began to complain of dizziness and headaches, which doctors thought were brought on by a urinary infection. However, a couple of weeks after her symptoms began, Lisa experienced an extreme bout of dizziness that landed her in the emergency room at Adams Memorial.
After a CT scan, doctors recommended that she go to a hospital in Fort Wayne, and she was taken there by ambulance. Two days later, on September 11, after lots of tests, Lisa received the news that she had lung cancer from her years as a smoker, and the cancer had spread to her brain.
