Harriet E. Hethcote

    Harriet E. Hethcote, 97, passed away at 9:30 p.m. on Friday, November 2, 2012, at Chalet Village Health Care Center in Berne.
    She was born in Geneva on Monday, September 27, 1915. 
    She married William E. Hethcote in Cincinnati, Ohio.
    Mrs. Hethcote had formerly worked for the R.M. Thomas Company in Muncie and was also a former resident of Muncie. She was a graduate of Geneva High School and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Geneva. She had been a long ime resident of Geneva.
    Among survivors are her daughter, Jean Duffy of Batavia, Ill.; four nieces and two nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, William E. 'Heavy Hethcote; parents, Harry and Emma (Brown) Moore; brothers, Eugene, Irvin, and Amos Moore; and a son-in-law, J. Michael Duffy.
    Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Downing & Glancy Funeral Home 100 N Washington Street, Geneva, on Tuesday, November 6, from 4-6 p.m.
    A service to celebrate her life will be at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, November 6, also at the funeral home, with the Rev. Roger Bixler officiating.
    Entombment will follow in the Gardens of Memory in Muncie on Wednesday November 7, at 2 p.m.
