Harold J. Siefring

    Harold J. “Lucky” Siefring, 81, of rural Decatur, died on Wednesday, November 17, 2010, at Adams Memorial Hospital.
    Harold was born on December 5, 1928, in Sharpsburg, Ohio, to John J. and Rose (Kramer) Siefring.
    On August 23, 1950, he married Pauline M. Phlipot.
    Lucky was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Decatur and the Holy Name Society. He was a truck driver for the former Automatic Sprinkler firm in Monroe and an owner/operator of Starlite Country Club on US 33 in rural Decatur.
    He served his country in the United States Army during peacetime.
    He is survived by his wife, Pauline M. Siefring of Decatur; four daughters, Theresa Wolfe of Orlando, Florida; Sandra (Jerry) Fuelling of Decatur; Diane (Randy) Winteregg of Berne; and Dorothy (Ron) Bransteter of Monroe; three sons, Jerry Siefring of Preble, and Lloyd (Joan) Siefring and Richard Siefring, both of Decatur; four sisters, Lorena Frilling of St. Marys, Ohio; Pauline Kunk of Scottsdale, Arizona; Delores Hemmelgarn of Burkettsville, Ohio; and Barbara Winner of Osgood, Ohio; two brothers, Larry Siefring and Wilbert Siefring of Louisville, Kentucky; 19 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by a daughter, Terry Orchard; a sister; and two brothers.
    Visitation is 3-8 p.m. on Friday, November 19, 2010, at Haggard and Sefton Funeral Home, Decatur, with reciting of the Holy Rosary at 2:30 p.m. A Moose memorial service will be held at 8 p.m.
    A 10:20 a.m. prayer service will be conducted on Saturday, November 20, 2010, at the funeral home, followed by an 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, with Father Gabriel Msuya officiating.
    Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Decatur.
    Memorials are to St. Joseph Catholic School in Decatur or the Dementia/Alzheimer Angel Fund within the Adams County Community Foundation.
