Harold E. Myers

    Harold E. Myers, 86, of Berne, died Thursday, December 1, 2011, at Chalet Village in Berne.
    He was the son of Floyd and Wilma (Tinkham) Myers. Harold was the owner of Myers Furniture in Willshire, Ohio, and had also worked for Sheets Furniture in Decatur. Later, while living in Florida, he was associated with Sambo's and Clock Restaurants.
    Survivors include a son, Kermit Myers, New Haven; a daughter, Karen Cook of Decatur; two grandchildren, Jay Cook and Stacie (Cook) Herman of Decatur; one stepgranddaughter, Candace Brammer of Fort Wayne; five great-grandchildren and two stepgreat-grandchildren; one brother, Herbert (Ruth) Myers of Berne; and three sisters, Alice (Bill) Patterson of Berne, Izorah Myers of Fort Wayne, and Ruth (Myers) Elet of Angola.
    He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, James Myers of Decatur.
    Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at Yager Kirchhofer Funeral Home, with visitation planned from 4-7 p.m. Pastor Joe Nass will officiate. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Mount Hope Cemetery, rural Berne.
    Preferred memorials are to the family.
