Harold E. Cornett

    Harold E. Cornett, 60, Decatur, passed away Friday, March 7, 2014, at Lutheran Hospital.
    He was born Friday, Oct. 2, 1953, in Decatur, the son of the late Willie and Mae (McQueen) Cornett.
    Harold was employed by Strick Corporation in Monroe for 15 years.
    Surviving are three sons, William E. "Billy" (Emily) Cornett of Cowan, Tenn., Ramey D. (Tonya) Cornett of Decatur and Daniel W. Cornett of Cowan.; two daughters, Callie A. Cornett of Cowan and Vera Jane Elizabeth Cornett of Decatur; two sisters, Bernice Knittle of Decatur and Carla (Jim) Scott of Cullman, Ala.; two brothers, Dean Cornett of Decatur and George (Cheryl) Cornett of Greensboro, N.C.; 20 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
    Preceding Harold in death were two brothers, David Allen Cornett and Paul Cornett.
    Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home with Pastor Dan York officiating.     Interment will follow in Decatur Cemetery.
    Friends will be received from 1-4 and 5-8 p.m. Monday, also in the funeral home.
    Preferred memorials are to the family.
