Green, EACS secure departure settlement

March 1, 2013

When Karyle Green steps down as East Allen County Schools (EACS) superintendent today, she will depart with a $200,000 settlement. The agreement was announced on Thursday.
In a surprise announcement earlier this week, the board said Green was stepping down 18 months ahead of her planned departure, officially ending her tenure today.
Board president Neil Reynolds and secretary Stephen Terry were charged with securing a separation agreement to pay Green to leave early. Reynolds told the  Fort Wayne Journal Gazette that he and Terry have signed the document, and while Green had not yet done so, "it's her intention" to sign.
