Goulet nabs 7th County Tourney

July 1, 2014

FAMILY SUPPORT WINS THE DAY—Avid golfer Bob Goulet (middle) won the Adams County Golf Tournament over the weekend copping his seventh tourney title. A big part of the win for Bob was his family, some of whom are seen above (L-R) with John Goulet, little Lucas Linder, and Jim Manley. (Photo provided)

Bob Goulet captured the 2014 Adams County Golf Championship over the weekend shooting a 71 at the Golf Club of the Limberlost in Geneva on Saturday, then a 76 on Sunday at Cross Creek Golf Club.
The win, his seventh Adams County crown ('95, '96, '98, '01, '02, '12, '14), was an especially sweet victory as Bob has only recently recovered from several surgeries in the past two years and because of health reasons missed playing in the Adams County tournament 2013.
"I am a very lucky man to have such a loving and supporting family," praised Goulet. "Golf takes a lot of time and without that support from family, it would not be worth it."
Bob also remarked on the win by saying, “It feels great to be playing good golf again. The three wood shot I hit on hole 18 today helped me secure the win.”
