Good turnout at town hall meeting here

August 28, 2013

A large number of people were in attendance at the town hall meeting at Riverside Center on Tuesday night to discuss upcoming ideas for the downtown area.
The mission of the mayor's advisory group is to attract, retain, and engage citizens. By focusing on the upcoming generations the hope is to prepare the city so that families want to live here, raise their children here, and be educated here.
Four focus points were introduced to the public and city officials by Jason Brune, a committee member. The group is looking to redevelop and revitalize the downtown area, to create personal and business development and support, to build social connections, and to clean-up, repurpose/ reuse blighted areas.
