Golden Meadows auction Saturday

    The 19th annual Golden Meadows Home auction – held to benefit the Special Needs Resident Fund – will be held this Saturday beginning at 10 a.m. on the facility grounds at 3646N 200E, rural Decatur.
    The family-friendly event will feature many new items and gift certificates from local businesses, as well as out-of-town organizations such as professional sport teams and amusement parks. Also for sale will be used merchandise in good condition, and lunch will be available for purchase at a food tent.
    Monies raised during the auction will be used to enhance the quality of life for residents of Golden Meadows, Golden Meadows Director Tom Magnan said, purchasing things such as eyeglasses, dentures, walkers, personal care items, and other goods and services that are not always covered by insurance or public assistance.
