Gladys M. Kukelhan

    Gladys M. Kukelhan, 85, of Decatur, passed away on Tuesday, December 11, 2012, at Woodcrest Nursing Center.
    She was born in Allen County on Thursday, September 1, 1927, to the late Herman E. and Hortense (Flaharty) Fiedler.
    She married Albert Kukelhan on April 12, 1947; he passed away on February 9, 2001.
    Gladys was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, Fuelling, and the Ladies Aid of the church. She retired in 1989 from Bellmont High School, where she was the manager of the cafeteria for 10 years, and she had also worked part-time at Evergreen Court Apartments and Woodcrest.
    Survivors include her son, John W.  Kukelhan of Indianapolis; daughter, Joanne M. (Joseph) Barga of Elida, Ohio; son, Kenneth W. Kukelhan of Decatur; son, Scott A. (Paula) Kukelhan of Middleburg, Fla.; daughter, Laura R. (James) Linder of Decatur; sister, Doris (Pete) Rigby of New Haven; 10 grandchildren, four stepgrandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Fiedler; and a sister, Alberta Schaper.
    Visitation will be from 2-4 and 5-8 p.m. on Saturday, December 15, at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the services at the church on Sunday.
    Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, December 16, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Fuelling, with Pastor Martin Moehring officiating.
    Burial will follow in the St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery, Fuelling.
    Preferred memorials are to St. Peter Lutheran Church, Fuelling, building fund; Worship for Shut-Ins; or Family LifeCare.
