Geraldine Aloisio

    Geraldine “Gerry” Claire Smerz Aloisio, 85, died February 2, 2012, in Arlington, VA.     Geraldine was born December 30, 1926, in Chicago  to the late Robert and Tillie Watrin Smerz. She was married to Gene  P. Aloisio, who preceded her in death.
    Survivors include  two sons, Jim (Peg) Aloisio of Decatur, and John (Julie) Aloisio of Stafford, VA; two daughters, Barb Sorochak and husband Sonny Martin of Rochester, MN, and Monica Aloisio and husband Ken Kubi of Manassas, VA; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Barbara Runberg of Munster, IN, and Anna Mae Scahill of Lombard, IL.    She was a former resident of Clarksville, IN, a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, the K. of C. in Jeffersonville, IN and was currently residing in Rochester, MN.  She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.
    A reception of friends will be from 12-5 p.m. Sunday, February 26,, at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown R, New Albany.  A funeral Liturgy will be held 10 a.m. Monday, February 27, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Clarksville, I., with burial to follow in St. Anthony Cemetery in Jeffersonville, IN.
