Geneva festival on tap Saturday

August 8, 2013

Geneva Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Pam Krause submitted to the Geneva Town Council on Tuesday a report of upcoming Chamber activities.
The report stated that the Summer's End Street Festival is coming up Saturday, August 17, in downtown Geneva. A beer garden will be open from 5-10 p.m. and The Junk Yard Band will be back to play classic rock and oldies starting at 7 p.m.
Also scheduled is a Kids Zone with games, a bounce house, face painting, sno cones, and freezie pops, and the Geneva Volunteer Fire Department will be serving food again this year.
Volunteers are needed to help set up the stage and fencing, as well as to cover shifts in the Kids Zone, Krause said; those interested in volunteering should call (260) 368-7251 or talk to Krause.
