Geneva close to filling SRO position at SA

December 5, 2013

Geneva Town Marshal Rob Johnson updated town council members of the status of efforts to hire a new school resource officer for South Adams Schools at their regular monthly meeting Tuesday night in the town hall.
Johnson noted he has received nine applications for the position, a considerable reduction of interest compared to the 30 applications he received when originally posting the job in 2009. He noted the applicants possessed a wide variety of qualifications, from two individuals who had been certified through the academy, to four reserve officers and three others with no prior experience.
