Geneva begins search for new school cop

    Appearing before Geneva Town Council at its regularly scheduled monthly meeting Tuesday evening, town Marshall Rob Johnson announced two vacancies on his staff, including one prompted by the recent resignation of school resource officer Scott Dailey.
    Johnson reported he is currently advertising for the deputy marshall and SRO position, which he noted is a full-time assignment with benefits. Presently, “three officers are doing the job of four” until the vacant position can be filled, he said. In the interim, he and the other town officers will cover the responsibilities of the SRO.
