Fundraising efforts for Berne plaza pavilion will conclude June 30

June 16, 2014

The fundraising committee of Berne Community  Development Corporation has announced the capital campaign for the Muensterberg plaza pavilion will end June 30.
According to a CDC spokesperson, to date more than $508,000 has been contributed for the final improvements and future maintenance/endowment.  The closing date of the campaign will give sufficient time to order the donor plaques to be installed at the pavilion site by the dedication date, scheduled for Aug. 23, organizers said.
Gifts of $1,000 for this and other plaza campaigns will be on a “Patron Plaque,” while those donors giving at least $3,000 during all of the campaigns — including the initial clock tower campaign — will be listed showing their gifts for all of the plaza improvements of trees, benches, lampposts, flower gardens, splash pad and picnic tables.
