Sunday’s high temperature was 69 degrees, the weather service said, breaking the old record of 71 degrees set on July 28 in 1969 and 1925.
The Decatur weather station recorded a high of 81 degrees on Sunday and an identical high on Monday.
Lows in Decatur the past two nights have been in the low 50s.
