Brian Strauss, former middle school principal at South Adams Schools, was taken into custody Friday on a charge of sexual misconduct with a former 15-year-old student.
According to the Michigan City News Dispatch, Strauss, 40, pleaded guilty to the charge and was sentenced in LaPorte County Circuit Court to a 16-year prison term. Under the terms of a negotiated plea agreement 13 years of the sentence were suspended and three years are to be served on general order probation.
