Florence Shady

    Florence M. Shady, 85, of Decatur, died Monday, July 15, 2013, at her residence.
    Florence was born in Monroeville to the late Simon A. and Frances E. (Emenhiser) Lehrman.
    She was a member of Zion United Church of Christ and was very active in her church. She also volunteered with the American Red Cross blood drives and helped at local food pantries. She had worked for Decatur Industries and Walmart.
    Among survivors are two sons, Dennis and Kenneth Shady, both of Decatur; two daughters, Carol (Michael) Terhune and Joan Roth, both of Decatur; seven grandchildren, Sheri (Jason) Ellsworth, Jeff (Elizabeth) Adams, Travis Roth, Jarrod Roth, Alex Shady, Cassie Shady, and Chad Terhune; eight great-grandchildren; and a very special friend, Wayne Carpenter.
    Florence was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
    Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday, July 19, at Haggard-Sefton & Hirschy Funeral Home, and 9-10 a.m. Saturday, July 20, at Zion United Church of Christ.
    Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 20, at the church. Rev. Randy Rossman will be officiating.
    Burial will be in Decatur Cemetery.
    Preferred memorials are to Family Life Care-Hospice.
