Bellmont had five No. 1 seeds and South Adams four after the Jay County Sectional Wrestling Seeding meeting Monday night.
Brooks Faurote at 140, John Mahlan at 160, Ryley Hankenson at 171, Travis Thatcher at 215 and unbeaten heavyweight Daniel Meyer are the top seeds for the Braves as they seek a 21st straight sectional crown Saturday at Jay County.
Jacob Girod at 112, Bobby Keuneke at 119 and Ben Baker at 189 are the seconds seeds for the Braves.
For the Starfires, Todd Batt at 125, Gabe Sprunger at 135, T.J. Burnfield at 145, and unbeaten Josh Ehr at 152 at the No. 1 seeds. Issac Werst at 171 is seeded second to Hankenson and strong frosh Maverick Morningstar is seeded second at 285 pounds for Eric Myers' surprising No. 19 Starfires.
"That's about what we expected," stated Bellmont coach Brent Faurote.
"South Adams has done a great job this year and they're solid, but they just don't have the depth that we do," noted Faurote of his No. 8 Braves.
"Still, the kids have to get it done and the mat, and we have to wrestle better than we did last Saturday at the NHC."
The Braves scored 228.5 points at the NHC but finished second to Carroll's 240. South Adams won with 221.5 points, topping second place Garrett and third-place Adams Central.
The Stars finished the regular season at 27-0 in dual meets.
The Braves could see Carroll again at Team Regional. The Chargers drew the New Haven winner in the first round. The Jay winner will meet the Delta winner, which will be No. 4 Yorktown.
