Evening jail talk is slated

    The Adams County officials have elected to conduct a public meeting to inform the public of specifics of the county’s proposed jail and superior court complex.
    The Adams County Commissioners and the Adams County Council will jointly host a public meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Geneva Town Hall, 411 E. Line St.
    According to a press release received late Thursday afternoon, the purpose of the meeting “is to present information and to receive public comments and answer questions concerning a county proposal to construct a new Adams County Jail, sheriff’s department and superior court building along First Street in Decatur. The public is invited to attend.”
