Estina Veit

    Estina M. Veit, 86, of Fort Wayne, and a former longtime resident of Hoagland,  passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2013.
    Estina married Paul C. Veit on June 6, 1948; he died November 26, 1993.
    Estina was an accomplished musician and played the accordion for “Touch of Music” for 18 years.
    Among survivors are three daughters, Linda S. (Vern) Stemen and Darla J. (David) Taylor, both of Monroeville, and Marla J. (Thomas) Brenneke of New Haven; a son, Stan P. (Kathy) Veit of Hoagland; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
    Estina was preceded in death by a sister, Geraldine R. McIntosh, in 2006; and a special friend, Tony Harkuszewski, in 2013.
    Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, May 9, at Zwick & Jahn Jacobs Chapel in Monroeville, and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Friday, May 10, at St. John Lutheran Church, Flatrock.
    Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church.
    Burial will follow in Monroeville Memorial Cemetery.
    Preferred memorials are to Visiting Nurses, St. John Lutheran Church, Flatrock, or Audiences Unlimited.
