Eltalka R. Bentz

    Eltalka Rose "Dollie" Bentz, 89, Decatur, died Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013, at Woodcrest Nursing Center.
    She was born in Adams County on Oct. 19, 1923, to the late James C. and Ada (Death) Everett Sr. She married Leo G. Bentz on July 29, 1950; he preceded her in death on June 19, 2001.
    Dollie was a member of St. Mary's of the Assumption Catholic Church and its Rosary Society. She was a homemaker and also worked for GE of Decatur. She was active volunteer at Woodcrest.
    She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
    Dollie was preceded in death by two children, Eugene A. and Glenda M. Bentz; eight brothers; Barney, Nick, Coral, Frank, Clyde, Jim, Clayton and Glen Everett; four sisters, Flossie Yost, Jean Rumschlag, Mary Ada Davis and Lettie Everett.
    Visitation will be from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 28 at Haggard-Sefton and Hirschy Funeral Home with a reciting of the Holy Rosary at 9:30 a.m.
    A prayer service will be held at 12:20 p.m. at the funeral home on Saturday, followed by a 1 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary's of the Assumption Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Patrick Joseph presiding.
    Burial will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
    Preferred memorials may be made to St. Mary's Building on Our Heritage.
