The annual Adams County Republican Party Lincoln Day Dinner was held Thursday evening at the Decatur Elks Lodge featuring a spirited address by Hoosier Lieutenant Governor Sue Ellspermann.
Ellspermann, the 50th Lt. Gov. in state history but the first to hold a PhD degree (from the University of Louisville in industrial engineering), declared the welcome mat for businesses everywhere is out throughout Indiana and that the business climate started by recent governor Mitch Daniels and current Governor Mike Pence is having a beneficial effect on the Hoosier economy.
She acknowledged that the unemployment rate in Indiana is still higher than the Pence administration would like to see but that "with the past eight years of the Daniels administration, Indiana is the envy of the country. Now it's Gov. Pence's and my job to keep that (economic recovery) up."
