Ellen L. Butcher

    Ellen L. Butcher, 81, of Decatur, passed away Saturday, August 3, 2013.
    Ellen was born November 8, 1931, to the late Charles L. and Dorothy D. (Caves) Herman in Adams County.
    On February 25, 1951 she married Robert L. Butcher; he passed away January 25, 2006.
    Ellen was a lifelong resident of Adams County. She was a homemaker who retired in 1991 from C.T.S. Corporation in Berne, and was a member of the Decatur Church of God.
    Among survivors are two sons, Ronnie (Deborah) Butcher of Decatur and Gail (Sue) Butcher of Lake Wales, Fla.; two daughters, Mrs. Lorrie (Calvin) Mihm of New Haven and Ms. Rhonda Farber of Decatur, two brothers, Jerry (Candi) Herman of Greenwood and Leonard Herman of Geneva; two sisters, Mrs. Maxine (Darrell) Burgess of Geneva and Freida Stevens of Decatur; sister-in-law, Colleen Herman; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
    Ellen was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
    Visitation will be from 1-8 p.m. Tuesday, August 6, at Haggard Sefton & Hirschy, and 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, August 7, at Decatur Church of God.
    Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday August 7 at the church. Pastor Jerry Mitchell will be officiating.
    Burial will follow in Decatur Cemetery.
    Preferred memorials are to Family Life Care.
