Elizabeth E. Kolter

    Elizabeth E. “Ebbie” Kolter, 80, of Decatur, passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2012, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.
    She was born on November 30, 1931, in Chicago, to the late Clinton and Elizabeth (Mondhank) Hersh.
    She married Karl Kolter on November 18, 1951.
    She was a member of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Heisey Club, Coin Club and other various organizations, and volunteered at Adams County Memorial Hospital for many years.
    She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Karl Kolter, of Decatur; a son, Michael Kolter, and daughter Sharon Doty, both of Decatur; three grandchildren, Ben, Nikki, and Summer Kolter; and one great-grandchild, Ethan Kolter.
    Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, January 10, at Haggard-Sefton & Hirschy Funeral Home.
    A funeral service will be held at 11a.m. on Wednesday, January 11, at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, with calling one hour prior to the service. Officiating will be Reverend Michael Heinbaugh.
    Burial will take place in Decatur Cemetery.
    Memorials may be made to Rotary Polio Fund, Muscular Sclerosis, or the Adams Memorial Hospital Auxiliary Fund.
