She was an active volunteer in the local deaf community, working with the Share Foundation and the Apostolate for the Handicapped.
El enjoyed gardening, playing the piano, and playing bridge. Some of her happiest moments were spent with family and friends, gathered for an informal cookout or cup of coffee in the garden near her beautiful roses. Her family will remember her for her easy laugh, and warm, comforting, caring nature. They thank her for being a role model and for her unconditional love.
Among survivors are her daughter, Jo-Ellen (Rudy) Eidam of Decatur; two sons, Robert (Julie) Breshock of Seattle, Wash., and Mark Breshock (fiancée Sandra) of Schererville, Ind.; four grandchildren, Jennifer (fiancé Shawn), Rudi (Anne), Laura, and Michael; two brothers, Gerry and Larry Loskill; and nieces and nephew.
