Edward L. Bulmahn, 84, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Monday, October 18, 2010, at Hamilton House in Fort Wayne.
Born in Rhea, Texas, Edward worked as a machinist with Phelps Dodge Corp. for 41 years.
He graduated from Monmouth High School in 1945 and served in the U.S. Navy during WW II as a signalman third class.
He was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne, American Legion Post 43 at Decatur, and International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 1540.
Ed was a loving father and cherished his grandson, Tyler.
He enjoyed bowling at Georgetown, golf at Foster Park, tractor pulls, and photography.
Surviving are one son, Brian Bulmahn of Huntington; his grandson, Tyler Bulmahn of Fishers, Indiana; his former wife, Rosa Lee Darnall of Fort Wayne; three brothers, Donald (Mary Ann) Bulmahn of Fort Wayne, Martin (Jane) Bulmahn of Wisconsin, and Richard (Kay) Bulmahn of Carmel, Indiana; and three sisters, Katheryn Graft of Kokomo, Indiana; Evelyn Shaver of California; and Ruth (Jim) Evans of New Haven.
Edward was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Amalia Bulmahn, and one brother, Robert W. Bulmahn.
The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Friday October 22, 2010, at D.O. McComb and Sons Foster Park Funeral Home, 6301 Fairfield Ave., Fort Wayne.
Additional calling will be on Thursday, October 21, 2010, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne.
