Edna Louise Hoffman, 81, of Elkhart, passed away Friday, May 11, 2012, at Golden Living Center in Elkhart.
She was born February 11, 1931, in Berne, to Hugh J. and Hope V. (Hart) Moyer.
On July 30, 1977, she married Dale E. Hoffman in Decatur.
Edna worked as a CNA for more than 30 years prior to her retirement at Elkhart General Hospital.
She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
Edna enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with her dog Precious. Edna loved her family and cherished being a mother and grandmother above all else.
In addition to her loving husband, other survivors include three sons, Jerry (Nancy) Hoffman of Ann Arbor, MI; Dick (Regina) Hoffman of New Palestine; and Mark (Joanne) Eichhorn of Granger; two daughters, Cheryl (Robert) Roswell of Edmond, Okla.; and Rachel Eichhorn of Elkhart; two sisters, Goldie Eix of Fort Wayne and Lois (Ron) Ballard of Decatur; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 15, at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin Street, Elkhart, with visitation 30 minutes prior to service. Pastor Shawn Lange will officiate.
Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola.
