Investments in the stock market can be both profitable and lucrative, so long as one is patient and does not expect to see large gains on a quarterly basis, according to Jim O’Donnell, an executive in residence at Huntington University. O’Donnell was the featured speaker Wednesday morning at the Decatur Chamber of Commerce’s Economic Forecast Breakfast, held in the Decatur Room of Adams Memorial Hospital.
A certified public accountant who spent many years as an executive in the financial services industry, O’Donnell entertained the crowd with anecdotes surrounding the investment of funds in the stock market but actually offered little information on his insights into either the local or national economic outlook for 2014.
