"We are swimming over here," Adams County Clerk Gayla Reinhart said at 1 p.m. Wednesday, a little over halfway through the second day of early voting in Adams County.
The voting began at 8 a.m. on Tuesday and when it had concluded seven hours later, 103 people had cast ballots.
By 1 p.m. Wednesday, 50 more people had voted in the clerk's office in the county courthouse.
Tuesday also was the last day to register to in the upcoming presidential election.
Early voting will continue here from 8 a.m to 4:30 p.m weekdays. Also scheduled are Saturday voting hours from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. on October 27 and November 3.
Voting hours on Monday, November 5, the day before the election, will be 8 a.m.-noon.
Those who wish to vote must present an Indiana driver’s license or a state-issued identification card that has an expiration date. If a driver’s license or identification card has expired, it must have expired after November 2, 2010, the clerk said
