Earl M. Stucky

    Earl M. Stucky, 91, of Berne, a former Monroe resident, died at 6:15 a.m. Tuesday at Swiss Village Retirement Community.
    He was born on October 13, 1919, in Berne to Erwin and Martha Liechty Stucky.
    He married Marjorie M. Dotterer on October 12, 1940; she survives.
    He was the former owner of Stucky Furniture in Monroe, a business that was in his family for 81 years.
    He graduated from Monroe High School in 1937, was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church, and served in the U.S. Army from December of 1942 to March of 1946 as a medic in the 81st General Hospital.
    Other survivors are one son, Steve Stucky (and wife Carol) of Monroe; one daughter-in-law, Cathy Stucky of Monroe; one sister, Mrs. Ralph (Fern) Hannie of Fort Wayne; four grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
    One son, Rick Stucky; one brother, Glen Stucky; and one sister, Erline Bluhm, are deceased.
    Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Apostolic Christian Church at Vera Cruz, with Revs. Mark Gerber and Nile Bucher officiating.
    Burial will be in Apostolic Christian Cemetery.
    Visiting hours are 2-8 p.m. Friday in Goodwin Memorial Chapel at Bluffton and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday in the church.
    Preferred memorials are to Swiss Village or to the Rick Stucky Memorial Enrichment Fund that is within the Adams County Community Foundation.
