E. Ann Blaney

    E. Ann Blaney, 77, a longtime Decatur resident, passed away on Wednesday, December 29, 2010, at The Laurels of Shane Hill in Rockford, Ohio.
    Ann was born on June 9, 1933, to Edward and Helen (Smith) Fisher.
    On June 21, 1958, she married Bob Blaney; he passed away on April 1, 2008.
    Ann retired from teaching in 1992 from North Adams Community Schools after 33 years.
    She was an active member of First United Methodist Church in Decatur, the Faith Circle of the United Methodist Women, the Adams County Retired Teachers' Association, the Indiana Retired Teachers' Association, and the Christian Women's Club.
    Ann is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Barbara (Ben) Rhinehart of New Bremen, Ohio, and five grandchildren: Stephanie, Sean, Avery, Adam, and Isabel Rhinehart.
    Visitation will be on Sunday, January 2, 2011, from noon-3 p.m. at Haggard and Sefton Funeral Home in Decatur and one hour prior to the service at the church.
    Funeral services will be held at First United Methodist Church on Monday January 3, at 11 a.m., with Rev. Loren Felabom officiating.
    A private burial will be held in Decatur Cemetery.
    Memorials may be given to First United Methodist Church.
