Dorothy P. Bacon

    Dorothy P. Bacon, 90, of Decatur, passed away Monday, April 2, 2012, at 9 a.m., at the Ossian Health and Rehabilitation Center.
    Dorothy was born October 29, 1921, in Adams County, to the late Fredrick and Sarah (Michel) Wenger.
    She married Samuel A. Bacon on January 19, 1941, in Fort Wayne; he passed away April 22, 2009.
    She was a 1939 graduate of P.A. Allen High School and was a homemaker.
    Among survivors are two sons, Ron (Joan) Bacon of Ossian and Sam (Linda) Bacon, of Decatur; brothers Fred (Edna) Wenger, of Bluffton; Norm (Julia) Wenger of Decatur; and Don (Ann) Wenger of Fort Wayne; sisters Joan (Gene) Clanin of Bluffton and Betty Lou Bercot of Berne; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Shaw; and a brother, Harry Wenger.
    Visitation will be Wednesday, April 4, from 3-8 p.m., at the Goodwin Memorial Chapel, in Bluffton.
    Services will be Thursday, April 5, at 10:30 a.m., also at Goodwin, with Pastor Jay Cline officiating.
    Burial will be in the Six Mile Cemetery, in Bluffton.
