Doris M. (Henry) Fosnaugh, 90, Fort Wayne, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Wed. Oct. 16, 2013. She was born in Fort Wayne on Oct. 30, 1922.
She graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1940. During World War II, Doris worked for GE. After raising her six children she worked for Walker Reseach and volunteered with the SPCA and humane shelters. Her love for animals were great.
Among survivors are her children, John (Sharon) Fosnaugh, Karen (Tim) Hake, Susan (Eric) Heffley, Kevin (Pam) Fosnaugh all of Fort Wayne, Cheryl (Ken) uffelman of Herndon, Va. and Greg (Darby) Fosnaugh of Cleveland, Ohio; 21 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Norman and John "Jack" Henry, both of Fort Wayne.
she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth L. Fosnaugh in 2002; sister, Helene Briggs; brother, Joseph; and parents Joseph A. and Lillian E. (Degitz) Henry.
Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. with a Rosary at 4:30 p.m. on Monday at D.O. McComb and Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road, Fort Wayne and also one hour prior to calling at Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4916 Trier Rd., Fort wayne.
Mass of Christian Burial is at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday at the Catholic Church.
Entombment in Catholic Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the S.P.C.A., Masses of St. Charles Catholic Church or Shriner's Hospital for crippled children.
