Donald L. Gase

    Donald L. Gase, 75, of Bluffton, died at his residence on Wednesday, April 24, 2013.
    Don was born on May 7, 1937 in Decatur, to the late Eugene and Frances (Koenig) Gase.
    On February 12, 1960, he married Carol J. Schuller; she survives in Bluffton.
    Don was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church. He worked at Central Soya for 40 years, Hagerman Construction for three years, and Gillig & Doan Funeral Home for two years.
    Among survivors are two sons, Stephen L. (Mary) Gase of Bluffton and Daniel L. Gase of Berne; daughter, Ann M. Butler; sister, Darlene (James) Geimer of Decatur; six grandchildren, Christopher and Amanda Gase, Josh Rebber, Lyndsay and Travis Gase, and Ashton Butler; and six great-grandchildren.
    Don was preceded in death by a son, Timothy A. Gase, on February 9, 2013.
    Visitation will be from 1-4 p.m. Sunday, April 28, at Haggard-Sefton & Hirschy Funeral Home, with reciting of the Holy Rosary at 3:30 p.m. Visitation will also be from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Monday, April 29, at St. Mary’s Parish Hall.
    A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, with Rev. Father Patrick Joseph officiating.
    Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
    Preferred memorials are to St. Mary’s Building on Our Heritage or Riley Children’s Hospital.
