Dolores M. Duff

    Dolores M. Duff, 88, of Willshire, Ohio, died at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in her son's residence at New Palestine, Indiana.
    She was born on March 7, 1922, in Adams County to Vercil and Bertha Mae Burnett Hoblet.
    She married Eugene J. Duff on December 21, 1940; he passed away on December 5, 2009 They had been married for 69 years.
    She was a homemaker, a lifelong resident of the Willshire area, and the only cheerleader on Willshire's 1939 state tourney basketball team. She graduated from Willshire High School in 1939.
    A tireless worker in Union Evangelical United Brethren Church and, later, Countryside Church of the Nazarene, she served for many years as treasurer, youth leader, and Sunday School teacher.
    She was also a member of the Adams County Home Extension Club and the Friendship Village club.
    Surviving are two sons, David Duff (and wife Linda) of New Palestine and Jerry Duff (and wife Linda) of Dayton, Ohio; one daughter, Mrs. Tom (Linda) Wicks of San Clemente, California; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by one son, Johnnie Bill Duff, and one sister, Esther Hoblet Christner.
    Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, with Pastor Carol Tumbleson officiating.
    Burial will be in Willshire Cemetery.
    Visiting hours are 4-8 p.m. Friday in Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home.
    Preferred memorials are to Countryside Church of the Nazarene.
