Disparity of bids baffles officials

March 25, 2014

Bids were opened during the regular weekly meeting of the Adams County Commissioners Monday afternoon for the installation of a new culvert on C.R. 600W between C.R. 100N and C.R. 200N.     After all bids had been opened, the difference between the high and low bid for the construction project totaled in excess of $67,000, a fact which led long-time Commissioner Ed Coil to dryly quip, “Are they all bidding on the same thing?”
