A recent fish and tenderloin dinner held at the First United Methodist Church in Decatur was a major success, raising more than $2,800, with the proceeds going to four of the church's community ministries.
Over 450 meals were served and a jointly-yeld bake sale saw hundreds of baked goods sold to those attending.
Receiving approximately $700 each were The Hope Chest, a consignment retail store located across from the Adams County Courthouse in downtown Decatur; Kids First Daycare, Fishes & Loaves (a community meal served on Wednesday evenings), and the church's Community Youth Group (meeting weekly in the church at "The Loft").
