Delores E. Rickord

    Delores E. Rickord, 86, of Fort Wayne, passed away Sunday, April 8, 2012, at University Park Nursing Center, in Fort Wayne. 
    Born in the Belgian Congo, in Africa, Delores worked in the plastics industry for 12 years before retiring in 1988. She was a member of Super Sixties at Blackhawk Baptist Church and the Fifty Plus group at First Assembly of God. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family.  
    Among survivors are her sons, Larry and Robert Rickord, both of Fort Wayne; sister Aretha Klopfenstein of Howe; brothers Avon (Sally) Klopfenstein of Kendallville, David (Iva) Klopfenstein of Avilla, and Gerald (Irma) Klopfenstein of Brimfield.    
    Delores was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Phyllis Klopfenstein; husband Paul Rickord; and brother Nathan Klopfenstein. 
    Visitation will be at D. O. McComb and Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road in Fort Wayne on Wednesday, April 11, from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m., and one hour prior to services at the church.
    Services will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, April 12, at Hope Church, 5927 E. State Blvd., Fort Wayne. Rev. Dennis Sundell will be officiating. 
    Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne.     
    Preferred memorials are to the Fifties Plus at First Assembly of God.
