July 17, 2014

DWC WRESTLERS IN NATIONALS—Three members of the Decatur Wrestling Club recently competed for the Indiana Outlaws in the NHSCA (National High School Coaches Association) Battle at the Beach (team tourney) held in Virginia Beach, Va. Representing the Indiana Outlaw Silver team were brothers Jon (far right) and Isaac Ruble (center), which placed in the top 15. Caden Friedt (left) wrestled for the Indiana Outlaw Gold team, which placed sixth overall. There were 50 teams in the division which the Outlaws competed. Parents of the wrestlers are Joe and Becky Ruble, and Mick and Deana Friedt. Joe served as the head coach of the Silver team. This one of the largest national dual tournaments and had three divisions ranging in age from Elementary to High School. Joe reported that the boys had a great experience wrestling and hanging out at the beach. (Photo provided)
