The 2014 Decatur Farmer’s Market will open for the season Thursday. Hours of operation have changed this year, with the market slated to open from 3-6 p.m. Vendors are asked to arrive by 2:30 p.m.
The location for the market will remain the same as last year: in the city of Decatur municipal parking lot at the corner of 1st and Madison streets just east of downtown.
According to a press release, acceptable items offered at the market include flowers, herbs, produce, honey and baked goods (within Adams County Health Department guidelines) and other homemade items. Individuals from Adams and surrounding counties may participate in the market.
The 2014 market season will run every Thursday from May 15 through Oct. 23. Vendor forms are available at the Decatur Chamber of Commerce office and the Purdue Extension Agency. For additional information, contact Market Manager Chad Hunter at 701-3047.
