Decatur council makes 2014 appointments

December 20, 2013

Decatur City Council’s final meeting of 2013 this week brought about the usual year-end re-appointments, plus one new appointment.
The new appointment saw council naming semi-retired funeral home director Dave Haggard to replace Don Tuszynski on the Board of Zoning Appeals. Tuszynski resigned in November.
“Don has been on a long time and did a nice job for the city; we really appreciate what he did,” Mayor John Schultz said.
Haggard’s appointment is for one year.
A new member is needed for the Decatur Redevelopment Commission as Brent Arnold has asked to leave the board. Council will make that appointment when someone is found for the post.
For the complete list of appointments, see today's print or online editions.
