Decatur, Berne city offices slate closings

    Decatur City Hall will be closed Thursday through Monday for Thanksgiving.
    There will be no collection of garbage on Thursday, but both the Thursday and regular Friday routes will be run Friday.
    There will be no leaf pickup Thursday. Officials said Friday, November 30, will be the final day for leaf collection here.
    The city's compost site is always open.
    • Schools in Decatur and throughout the county will be closed Thursday and Friday.
    • The Adams County Service Complex will be closed Thursday and Friday.
    • Berne city offices will be closed Thursday and Friday. There will be no garbage collection on Thursday, with both Thursday and Friday routes to be run on Friday.
    The leaf-vac machine will not run on Thursday or Friday and there will be no stick/limb route this week. Berne's compost site will be closed on Thursday and Friday, and will reopen from 7 a.m.-3 p.m. on Saturday.
    • The Adams Public Library System — Decatur and Geneva — has announced that it will close at 5 p.m. on Wednesday and remain closed for Thanksgiving. Normal business hours will resume on Friday.
    Online services, such as downloadable books, wireless access, renewing checked-out items, or any of the online databases and resources, will continue to be available during holiday hours, an announcement said.
