New Haven's Kayla Fendel tossed a four-hit shutout Monday evening as the Bulldogs earned a 7-0 win in Northeast Hoosier Conference softball action at the Bellmont diamond over the Squaws.
The Bulldogs did most of their damage in the third inning off Bellmont hurler Nicole Schevenius when they tallied five runs. New Haven had three extra base hits in the game including a triple by Courtney Barfell and doubles by Destiney Beard and Mazie Hake. All four BHS hits were singles.
New Haven added single runs in the sixth and seventh for insurance.
With the victory, New Haven improved to 6-9 overall and 1-3 in the conference while Bellmont fell to 3-7 and 1-4 respectively.
